All of the firm’s attorneys formerly served together in the General Counsel’s Office of USAID, and are highly experienced in the statutes, rules and practices relating to activities financed by USAID, other U.S. government agencies (e.g., Department of Energy, Department of State, EPA, Department of Labor, and CDC); foreign bilateral aid agencies (e.g., DFID and KFW); the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank and other international financial institutions; UN agencies; global funds; and other international organizations. The firm’s practice includes all aspects of federal grants and cooperative agreements; U.S. government contracts, both for NGOs and commercial contractors; the establishment and governance of U.S. tax-exempt organizations and their overseas affiliates; employment issues; intellectual property; civil litigation; OFAC licensing; social marketing; and other related fields.
