Mr. Sullivan joined Sonenthal & Overall as an Of Counsel attorney in 2012, after a 23-year career in the Foreign Service with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), including 18 years at five overseas posts in Asia and the Middle East. With 30 years of experience as a lawyer, Mr. Sullivan has successfully handled a wide array of issues pertaining to contracts, grants and other matters.
USAID Experience (1989-2012)
Attorney Advisor, 1989-91 and 2011-12. Regional Legal Advisor, 1991-2009 (posted in Egypt, Thailand, Philippines, Israel and India). Acting Director, Office of South and Central Asian Affairs, Asia Bureau, 2009. Acting Assistant General Counsel for Africa, 2010. Assistant General Counsel for Asia and the Middle East, 2010-11.
